Moroccan Man Arrested Attempting to Swim from Ceuta to Morocco

The Spanish Civil Guard has just arrested a man who was about to reach Morocco by swimming. This Moroccan is unfortunately one of the many people still stranded in Ceuta and unable to see their families.
In a video posted on social media, we see this man approaching the fenced border separating the autonomous city from Morocco by swimming. Unfortunately for him, a Guardia civil agent was on the spot and at the sight of him, he had no choice but to turn back. He will be arrested a little later.
Just a few days ago, another Moroccan had managed to reach the other side of the border, also by swimming. When questioned, the latter had explained that he had been blocked for several months and despite his requests to the Moroccan authorities, nothing had been done for him to be able to reunite with his loved ones.
In Melilla, another drama occurred this week. A man fell from the fence while trying to reach Morocco. Admitted urgently to the hospital in Nador, he will be transferred a few hours later to Fez where he will die.
