Moroccan Lawyers Challenge Israel Normalization Deal in Court

The normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel is reaching the courts. A group of lawyers has decided to file an appeal against the Moroccan government.
The Court of Cassation was seized on Monday with a request for annulment against the decision of the Moroccan government to normalize its political, diplomatic, economic and tourist relations with the "Zionist entity".
The appeal was filed by three lawyers from the National Bar Association on behalf of their colleague Khalid Soufiani. These are Abderrahmane Ben Amrou, Abderrahim El Jamii and Abderrahim Benbaraka.
The lawyers also justified their request by the nullity of any agreement with Israel. These conventions are contrary to Moroccan public order, the provisions of the Constitution, the United Nations Charter, the Vienna Conventions, international humanitarian law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
