Morocco Bans Protest Against Israel Normalization Deal in Rabat

A demonstration against the normalization of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel, which was to be held in front of the Parliament headquarters in Rabat, was banned by the local authorities.
The normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel has elicited mixed reactions both internationally and within Moroccan political parties and civil society.
The organizers of a demonstration scheduled for Monday, December 14, had published a statement denouncing any form of normalization with Israel, reports Alyaoum24.
"The Zionist project, which has usurped the land of Palestine, exiled and displaced the majority of its inhabitants, is a colonial occupation project, based on racial ethnic cleansing, aimed at uprooting the Palestinian people and replacing them with settlers gathered from around the world," the statement reads.
And to add: "The United Nations and the international community, unable to guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people, have contributed to their tragedy by preventing any condemnation or questioning of the Zionist entity."
Deploring the attitude of the authorities, the organizers point out that "the Moroccan, Arab and African regimes are rendering a free service to the Zionist entity, which continuously violates humanitarian and international laws, at a time when they were supposed to isolate it by imposing sanctions."
