Moroccan King Begins Official Visit to UAE, Aims to Bolster Economic Ties

King Mohammed VI is beginning an official visit to the United Arab Emirates starting this Monday at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
This high-level meeting aims to strengthen the already existing bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations, with the program including discussions on strengthening bilateral relations, economic and commercial cooperation, and regional issues of peace and stability.
This visit marks the first visit of the Moroccan sovereign to the Emirates since the inauguration of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in May 2023, which demonstrates the mutual commitment of the two countries to consolidate their relations and expand their collaboration in various fields.
The ties between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates are strong and rooted in history, with diplomatic relations established as early as 1977 and a free trade agreement signed in 2004. The Emirates are a key trade partner for Morocco in Africa and a leading investor, testifying to a thriving economic and commercial cooperation.
