Moroccan King Returns from Private UAE Visit, Meets with Emirati President

After several weeks spent in the United Arab Emirates as part of a private visit, King Mohammed VI is back in Morocco.
The sovereign arrived on Friday in Rabat from the United Arab Emirates. His son, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, and he were welcomed in the early evening by senior civilian and military officials, reports Barlamane. It was a private trip, but King Mohammed VI was received by Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. The exchanges between the two heads of state focused on various bilateral and regional issues.
Relations between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates are excellent. Diplomatically, the two countries share converging positions on several international issues, including support for regional stability and the fight against transnational security threats. Economically, the United Arab Emirates are among Morocco’s main economic partners, with major investments in the real estate, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
King Mohammed VI often travels to the United Arab Emirates. In December 2023, he had traveled to the United Arab Emirates as part of an official visit where many contracts and agreements had been signed on site. Then the sovereign had stayed in the emirate for a private stay before flying to Asia.
