Major mobilization for the royal visit to Casablanca. The city authorities have proceeded to embellish the streets and major intersections in order to welcome King Mohammed VI, particularly on the axis connecting the administrative and economic capitals of the kingdom, reports the site Achkayn, which notes a large deployment of elements of the Royal Gendarmerie and the Auxiliary Forces on the ground.
Since Saturday, the security service elements have been present on the various main arteries in order to strengthen the organization of traffic, particularly in the areas likely to be used by the royal procession during its movements. They are also deployed around the main streets, as well as the city center.
After several weeks spent in the United Arab Emirates as part of a private visit, King Mohammed VI arrived in Rabat last Friday. His arrival in Casablanca will mark his first visit, which comes after his convalescence period and his functional rehabilitation program. He had successfully undergone a surgical operation on his left shoulder.
