Moroccan Islamist Group Urges Elite to Oppose Trump’s Middle East Peace Plan

The "deal of the century", proposed by Donald Trump to help find a definitive solution to the Israeli-Palestinian crisis, is not to the liking of some observers of public life. Many organizations like Al Adl Ihssan join the PJD and the PPS and categorically reject this proposal, which they describe as a "conspiracy" and call for a "mobilization of the elite to put pressure on the States".
The issue related to Palestine must concern all the free voices in the world, thinks Omar Ihrachan, member of the general secretariat of the political circle of the Al Adl wal Ihssan movement. He calls for "joint action to face the conspiracy against Palestine and to express the rejection of the peace plan which will not be better than the previous ones".
On the official website of the Jamaâ, Omar Ihrachan attacked President Donald Trump. For him, the American president is evacuating the political pressure he is undergoing in his country by bowing to the conditions imposed by the occupation forces. The leader of this "tolerated, but not recognized by the State" Islamist movement, according to the consecrated formula, pleads for a societal mobilization in support of the Palestinian cause, accusing "authoritarian regimes that have instrumentalized this file to improve their positioning", reports Telquel.
As urgent actions to counter "this deal of the century", Ihrachan proposes "the publication of a global manifesto, signed by intellectuals, politicians and elites known for their integrity and involvement in the defense of humanitarian issues". The goal is to firmly reject this deal which illustrates, according to this Islamist movement, "a bias in favor of Zionist positions".
In addition to the publication of the manifesto, he also plans a "global day of mobilization to put pressure on States and organizations, and many other more serious initiatives, guaranteeing the rights of Palestinians".
