Moroccans to Protest Trump's Middle East Peace Plan in Rabat March

The "deal of the century" proposed by Donald Trump as a strategy for resolving the Palestinian crisis continues to provoke reactions. In addition to calling for a national march this Sunday in Rabat against this deal, the Moroccan collective rejects the recent statements of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, in which he had affirmed that Moroccans "should not be more Palestinian than the Palestinians themselves".

The collective, made up of several organizations defending the rights of the Palestinian people, condemned "all positions that are not in line with the unanimity, manifested at all times by the Moroccan people, towards the Palestinian issue", expressing its refusal of "all conspiracies against Palestine", according to Hespress.

Khalid Sefiani, coordinator of the National Action Group for Palestine, said the minister should revise his remarks, as Moroccans remain attached to their principles and constants. He referred to the messages of King Mohammed VI and the official positions expressed by the Head of Government. "If Mr. Bourita does not want to be Palestinian, we are, the entire Moroccan people are Palestinian," Sefiani hammered.

Regarding the rumors of attempts to push Morocco to normalize with Israel, in exchange for US recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara, Khalid Sefiani stressed that "the Moroccan people expect nothing from Trump or Netanyahu to defend its integrity and territorial unity, because it can do it itself".

The national march against the "deal of the century" will start from Bab El Had square, then take the main streets of the capital, to demand the right of the Palestinian people to their land and to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Acharif as the capital.
