Thousands March in Morocco’s Capital to Support Palestinian Cause

At the call of a collective of political, trade union and organizational bodies, including the Moroccan Association for Support to the Palestinian Struggle and the National Action Group for Palestine, some ten thousand demonstrators took part on Sunday, February 9, 2020, in a national march, to reiterate Morocco’s constant support for the Palestinian cause.
Banner in hand, the participants in this solidarity march affirmed that Al Quds is the capital of Palestine and reiterated the commitment of the Moroccan people in favor of the cause of the Palestinian people.
"This is a day of Palestine par excellence that the Moroccans have marked with Palestinian flags and slogans supporting the Palestinian cause and defending Al-Quds," said Khalid Sefiani, member of the secretariat of the National Action Group for Palestine. He stated that the Moroccan people - all associative, trade union and political components combined - reiterate their unanimous rejection of the "deal of the century" proposed by US President Donald Trump.
All the bodies that called for this march have affirmed their commitment to the battle for the liberation of Palestine, and firmly condemned the "deal of the century", according to a statement read by Khalid Sefiani.
The bodies also stated that this march is the prelude to an ongoing program of struggle at the national, regional and international levels, before calling on all components of the Moroccan people and the forces of freedom in the world, to be vigilant and maintain mobilization.
