Moroccan-French Woman Flees After $800,000 Pyramid Scheme, Poses as Terrorist Online

A Moroccan woman residing in France has set up a pyramid system that allowed her to scam more than 200 victims in Morocco. After disappearing with the money, she is posing as a terrorist on social networks to frighten her victims.
The young Moroccan woman residing in France came back to Morocco and set up a pyramid system, a very common form of fraud that consists of recruiting people to whom she promises substantial profits in a few weeks. The victims, mostly women, paid sums ranging from 700 to 1,200 dirhams, hoping to earn more by convincing other women to join the network.
In a few weeks, she managed to collect more than eight million dirhams, before disappearing into thin air, reports the daily Assabah. The victims, no longer having news of her and beginning to worry about their "investment", decided to seize Me Hatim Arib, a lawyer at the Rabat bar, to file a complaint against her with the prosecutor of the king near the court of first instance of Rabat.
A few days after the filing of the complaint, the young woman reacted on social networks, claiming to belong to a terrorist network in order to dissuade the victims from going to justice. She will be prosecuted for fraud and apology for terrorism, assures Me Hatim Arib, specifying that other victims residing in Mohammedia, Sidi Kacem and Meknes also intend to file a complaint against her. The case will be brought before the Attorney General of the King at the Rabat Court of Appeal, competent in terrorism matters.
