Security Guard Arrested in Casablanca for Impersonating Prosecutor in Online Scam

The cybercrime brigade arrested and detained a security guard working in Casablanca, for his involvement in a case of impersonation, fraud and blackmail.
The 35-year-old individual was posing as a deputy prosecutor of the King near the court of first instance of Casablanca, reports Assabah, specifying that he was blackmailing his carefully chosen victims on social networks.
His arrest follows the complaint of a woman to the prosecutor of the King near the court of first instance of Casablanca, claiming that "she had met on social networks a deputy prosecutor of the King near the same court. And after exchanges with him on social networks, she found herself a victim of blackmail".
After the investigations carried out by the cybercrime control services, the accused was arrested and brought before the justice before being incarcerated pending his trial.
