Moroccan Father Wins Appeal Against Deportation, Granted Temporary Residency in France

The Administrative Court of Appeal of Nantes (Loire Atlantique) ruled in favor of a Moroccan father living in Saran, near Orléans, threatened with expulsion. The prefect’s decree and the court’s judgment were simply annulled.
A victory for Abdelfattah Chadi, a 39-year-old Moroccan and father of a child born in France in November 2017. He had received an Obligation to Leave France (OQTF) in July 2019 and had filed an appeal. The administrative court of Orléans had dismissed him in March 2020. He had then turned to the Administrative Court of Appeal of Nantes. He has just won his case. The Court annulled the decree of the prefect of the Loiret. It also ordered the administrative authority to issue a temporary residence permit to the Moroccan father, and to pay him 1,500 euros for his legal costs, reports
