Moroccan Expat’s Home Stripped Bare: Brazen Burglars Loot Entire House in Driouch

The house of a Moroccan living in Spain was the target of a burglary in Driouch, where unknown individuals stole the entire contents of the premises.
The victim noticed the break-in upon his return to Morocco for the summer season. The theft is said to have occurred last month, while the owner had asked a relative to prepare the house for his arrival. All of his possessions, from furniture to appliances, had disappeared.
The methodical nature of the operation is intriguing, especially since the house is located on a busy street and not in an isolated area. The lack of any testimony from the neighborhood, which did not notice any unusual movement, adds to the incomprehension about how the perpetrators were able to act, according to the local website Nadorcity.
The financial loss is estimated at more than 60,000 dirhams by the plaintiff. The latter filed a complaint with the Royal Gendarmerie, attaching a detailed inventory of the stolen items. An investigation is now being conducted under the authority of the competent public prosecutor’s office to elucidate the facts.
