Moroccan Entrepreneur Attempts Sheep Sacrifice at Royal Palace, Seeking King’s Aid

An entrepreneur from the city of Meknes tried to sacrifice a sheep in front of the Royal Palace of Salé, in the hope of imploring the Sovereign’s sympathy to resolve his difficulties in renting a local market in the Toulal region.
Arriving in front of the palace gate, in a car, accompanied by his wife and two children, the individual rushed to slit the sheep’s throat, before being intercepted by the security agents, who took him to the police station for questioning.
According to "Assabah", the individual had difficulties renting a local market in the Toulal region. That’s why he decided to proceed in the manner of the ancient tribes; those who fell into disgrace sacrificed sheep in front of the superiors’ doors, in order to implore their sympathy.
The defendant, who faces charges of setting a bad example for children and assault and battery against a civil servant, was brought before the Attorney General at the Court of First Instance, pending the completion of the investigation.
