Deadly Assault: Casablanca Bar Bouncers Charged in Customer’s Death
A customer of a Casablanca bar was savagely beaten by two bouncers, following an altercation. The individual, abandoned in a neighboring street, eventually succumbed to his injuries.
In the morning of Saturday, the body bearing traces of blows and injuries was discovered by local residents, who immediately alerted the police. Assabah writes that the link with the crime scene was established thanks to the traces of blood found, during the investigation, on the padlock of a door of the bar.
The results of the preliminary investigation, conducted by the judicial police services, demonstrated the involvement of the bouncers in the victim’s death. Following an altercation, the latter was savagely beaten by the bouncers before being abandoned in the street where he succumbed to his injuries.
The daily adds that the local authorities decided to close the bar and withdraw the alcoholic beverage license, while the two security guards were arrested by the police and placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation supervised by the public prosecutor’s office, pending being brought before the public prosecutor general at the Casablanca Court of Appeal.
