Suspect Arrested in Fatal Casablanca Stabbing Attack

A man, suspected of having inflicted several fatal stab wounds on an individual, was arrested on Saturday evening by the police services in Casablanca.
The details of these events are provided in a press release published by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). "The Judicial Police Brigade of the Sidi Bernoussi Police District in Casablanca proceeded, at midnight on Saturday, to the arrest of an individual with multiple criminal records, for his alleged involvement in a case of assault and battery with a bladed weapon resulting in the death of a person," it states.
The alleged aggressor, aged 25, "who was in an advanced state of drunkenness, had a quarrel with an individual," explains the DGSN, adding that "when the victim’s brother tried to intervene to put an end to this brawl, the suspect stabbed this person with the bladed weapon."
The stabbed victim died upon arrival at the hospital, it is also written in this press release, specifying that "the investigations carried out by the Judicial Police made it possible to arrest the suspect at the crime scene, as well as his brother and his friend, with whom he was consuming alcohol, for their alleged involvement in this criminal act."
This press release also denies the information according to which the protagonists of the case belong to the Ultras of football teams in Casablanca.
