Suspect Arrested in Fatal Casablanca Stabbing After Dispute

An individual was arrested on Monday evening by elements of the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ). He is accused of having inflicted blows with a bladed weapon, resulting in the death of an individual in Al Fida-Mers Sultan, in Casablanca.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated on Tuesday that following a dispute that opposed him to the victim, the accused inflicted blows with a bladed weapon on the latter, causing injuries that resulted in death. The same evening, the suspect was arrested in his flight, in Médiouna, around Casablanca, by two BNPJ elements, reports La Map.
The accused, aged 34, is held in custody, at the disposal of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, at the level of the Judicial Police Brigade in the Al Fida-Mers Sultan district, which is territorially competent. The investigations opened will make it possible to shed light on this criminal act and to determine the responsibilities, the statement said.
