Moroccan Man Arrested for Forging Documents in Schengen Visa Application to Italy

For having filed an application for a Schengen visa with forged documents, an individual from Benslimane was taken into custody by the Public Prosecutor’s Office near the Court of Appeal of Casablanca. The Italian Consulate General in Morocco had filed a complaint with the Moroccan authorities.
The defendant had filed an application for a Schengen visa with the Italian Consulate. However, all the constituent documents were forged, in particular the bank statements, the work and salary certificates, the leave certificate, as well as other documents.
According to the daily Assabah, the individual admitted to having forged the documents, with the aim of legally emigrating to Italy. He also provided the contact details of a person residing in Temara, who had prepared the fake documents.
The Judicial Police then went to the site to arrest the accused, but failed to find him. A national arrest warrant has been issued against him.
An investigation, supervised by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, was opened by the elements of the Judicial Police, in order to find other individuals involved in this case. The suspect was taken into custody, pending his appearance before the courts.
