A Moroccan drone kills a Polisario member east of the defense wall

The person killed was identified as an operational member of the Polisario. He was traveling with several people near the defense wall when the group was targeted.

A new strike after the one in June

This new attack comes a few months after the death of Lahbib Mohamed Abdelaziz, son of the former Polisario leader. This military official, who was also a member of the separatist movement’s national secretariat, was killed in June 2026 along with two other members in a strike against their vehicle.

Information from the UN and internal Polisario sources subsequently confirmed the existence of the strike, which was also attributed to a Moroccan drone. The death of Lahbib Mohamed Abdelaziz was considered a major blow to the Front’s military leadership.
