Moroccan Drone Strike Kills Senior Polisario Commander in Buffer Zone

Polisario commander Salamou Mohammed Fadel El Boubari and other militiamen were reportedly killed by a strike by the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) in the Haouza region, located in the buffer zone, in the Moroccan Sahara.
Salamou Mohammed Fadel is no more. He would have been killed during a strike carried out by a TB2 drone, on Saturday, in the Haouza region, located in the buffer zone. A Polisario commander, he was known for having publicly threatened Morocco, notably in a propaganda recording broadcast from Algeria. In this recording, he had declared his "bellicose intentions" against the kingdom. He is not the only militiaman of the separatist movement to perish during this strike.
This targeted military operation also resulted in the death of other Polisario Front militiamen such as El-Wafi Mokhtar Ahmida and Bibo El-Najm. The latter were involved in several attacks and military actions in the region.
This is the second strike carried out by a Royal Armed Forces (FAR) drone in the space of a week. A Moroccan drone would have targeted, on Saturday, January 11, two Polisario vehicles that had penetrated the zone, south of Bir Lahlou, east of the Sand Wall. The military operation resulted in the death of four Polisario militiamen.
