Moroccan Drone Strike Eliminates Polisario Militants After Smara Attack
The Polisario militiamen responsible for the latest attack carried out in the city of Smara, in the heart of the Moroccan Sahara, were killed during a targeted operation conducted by a Moroccan drone.
Polisario militiamen perished in a Moroccan drone attack. On Friday, a drone from the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) targeted an all-terrain vehicle that was approaching the security wall in a suspicious manner. Polisario militiamen were on board this vehicle. As they tried to flee towards Algerian territory after launching projectiles towards the city of Smara (Moroccan Sahara), they were killed by a Moroccan drone armed with high-precision guided missiles. The aircraft "launched a lethal missile that hit its target with extreme precision, causing the complete explosion of the vehicle and reducing to pieces those who were in it," report reliable sources.
On Friday, four projectiles were fired towards the southeastern outskirts of the city of Smara, in the Moroccan Sahara. The impact was recorded in an uninhabited area, near a barracks of the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO). No injuries or damage were reported. Videos and photos shared on social media show what appear to be the remains of the projectiles scattered in the area.
