Moroccan Driver Caught with 2 Tons of Hashish at Spanish Port

The agents of the National Police of Algeciras arrested a Moroccan who was transporting about two tons of hashish hidden in different parts of his truck.
The Moroccan was arrested during a routine check at the border, after the agents were informed that several trucks transporting fruits and vegetables from Morocco were trying to smuggle a large quantity of hashish through the port of Algeciras. It was then that the truck of the accused was subjected to a thorough inspection by the agents, assisted by a sniffer dog.
The agents first discovered part of the drug hidden behind the doors of the vehicle. Continuing the inspection of the truck, they found a large quantity of hashish, distributed in different parts of the vehicle, such as the sides, the ceiling and the floor. In total, nearly 2 tons of hashish were seized, as well as the truck and the effects found inside.
The truck driver, for his part, was arrested and made available to the competent judicial authorities who ordered his detention. The investigation continues to determine the origin and destination of this drug and possibly arrest the other members of this Moroccan hashish trafficking network.
