Civil Guard Seizes 300 Kilos of Hashish at Spanish Port, K-9 Unit Key in Discovery

A significant drug seizure was made by the Civil Guard at the port of Motril, where nearly 300 kilos of hashish were discovered hidden in a refrigerated truck coming from Morocco.
The driver of the vehicle, a Moroccan citizen, was arrested for a public health offense.
The discovery of the drugs was made thanks to the intervention of Nemo, a specialized dog from the Canine Service of the Civil Guard, reports the local newspaper Granadao Hoy. Nemo detected the narcotics hidden in secret hiding places inside the truck arriving from Tangier.
About 280 kilos of hashish, divided into packages, were found behind panels in the refrigerated truck. Following this seizure, the truck driver and the seized drugs were handed over to the duty court in Motril for the necessary legal proceedings.
