The Civil Guard arrested at the port of Motril a 39-year-old man, in possession of 139 kilos of hashish hidden in the trailer of the truck he was driving from Tangier, Morocco.
The drug was discovered thanks to a sniffer dog from the Civil Guard’s anti-drug service, which lingered on the truck during the inspection of passengers and vehicles on the Wasa Express ship from Tangier, reports Ideal.
After emptying the truck trailer and conducting a thorough inspection of the vehicle, the Civil Guard agents recovered a total of 133 kilos of hashish. The truck driver was arrested and will be made available to the competent court in Motril, along with the seized drugs.
