Moroccan Dentist Gets 30 Years for Burning Pregnant Girlfriend to Death
A dental prosthetist was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison by the criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal of Nador. He allegedly burned his girlfriend alive in his office over an extramarital pregnancy.
This tragedy dates back to Saturday, November 19, when the girlfriend went to her beloved’s dental laboratory, located near Nador, to announce the news to him. Unhappy with this announcement, the fruit of his mistress’s extramarital relationship, he set her on fire. Seriously burned, she later succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
After committing his act, the dental prosthetist tried to set himself on fire, but only suffered superficial burns. During his arrest, he tried to make believe that he was suffering from mental disorders, to exculpate himself. Unfortunately, the mental assessment ordered by the Court showed that he was fit when he committed his crime.
