The criminal chamber of the Marrakech Court of Appeal sentenced a fifty-year-old man to two years in prison for sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl.
Before the Court, the accused denied the charges against him, reports Aujourd’hui Le Maroc. However, the victim recounted in detail to the three judges of the Court what she had experienced. According to her testimony, the defendant took her to his home when her entire family was absent to abuse her.
Despite the medical certificate from the gynecologist proving the abuse, he denied the facts, contrary to his confessions recorded in the official report.
