Moroccan Customs Seize 19 Kilos of Cannabis at Ceuta Border Crossing

Some 19 kilos of drugs were seized on Friday evening by customs services at Bab Sebta, in the north of the country, on board a vehicle driven by a Moroccan residing abroad.
Sources cited by the MAP agency indicate that 19 kilos of cannabis resin were seized during a "routine control operation", adding that this quantity of drugs was carefully hidden in a compartment behind the dashboard.
The Moroccan residing abroad, whose country of residence was not disclosed, was arrested by the judicial police of Tetouan while the vehicle was seized by the customs services.
Last month, the police seized a record 15 tons of drugs in Tangier which were in "a specially arranged hollow for drug trafficking on board a truck registered in Morocco and which was spotted in the Boukhalef district of Tangier".
