Moroccan Customs Releases Video Guide for Expats Bringing Cars into Country

A very nice initiative from the Moroccan customs that has just put online all the information that a Moroccan resident abroad (MRE) must know before entering Morocco with his car.
All the points are covered in this 3-minute video in Moroccan Arabic. Thus, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII) mentions the disappearance of the green sheets and their replacement by a card in bank card format. It seems that MREs can apparently carry out this procedure directly on the boats, but last month, during a trip to Morocco, the procedure was only possible at the customs level and not inside the boat.
Customs also discusses the different possibilities offered to MREs: borrowing the car, the rental car and of course the case of illness and the inability to export one’s vehicle.
And as any respectable customs, we also talk about non-compliance with the 6-month deadline and the fine incurred by the MRE in case of exceeding this deadline.
A very nice initiative on the part of customs, but we regret that it is not translated into the different languages spoken by MREs, particularly in Amazigh, French, Spanish and other languages.
