Moroccan Customs Guide: What Expats Can Bring Home This Summer

As every year, you will be hundreds of thousands of Moroccans Residing Abroad (MRE) to join Morocco for the summer holidays. Many of you are wondering what you can bring with you to Morocco, without fear of penalties from customs services.
A video published last year by the Moroccan customs services, but which is still relevant today, details the items you can bring with you to Morocco, whether gifts, currency, jet skis and quads, not to mention what is prohibited, such as weapons or drones.
Many MREs will be surprised to see the presence of a scanner control at the entrance to the territory at the Tanger-Med port. Thus, randomly selected cars are sent to the scanner with a form to be filled out by the agent who carried out the control. Of course, we are talking about entry into Morocco and not exit, the latter having been present for many years.
It should also be noted that the "green sheets" no longer exist and have been replaced by a card in the format of a bank card. From now on, it is customs that takes care of the procedure, the MRE only having to provide the vehicle registration document and his passport.
