Moroccan Couple from France Arrested at Ceuta Border with Cannabis and Undeclared Cash

A Moroccan couple residing in France was arrested at the border post of Ceuta, in possession of 9 and a half kilos of cannabis resin and a sum of 100,000 dirhams.
On Tuesday morning, a Moroccan and his wife tried to cross the border of the Spanish enclave, hiding nearly 9 and a half kilos of cannabis resin in their car.
According to the Tanja24 website, the customs services seized more than 100,000 dirhams, which the couple had not declared to the Foreign Exchange Office, including 30,000 in Moroccan currency and the rest in euros.
Pending their appearance in court, the couple was taken into custody, at the disposal of the investigation opened by the police services.
