Spanish Civil Guard Seizes 267 Kilos of Hashish in Ceuta Port Busts

During two checks at the port of Ceuta, the Civil Guard seized more than 267 kilos of hashish. The drugs were found by the Recognition Service in vehicles boarding ferries bound for Algeciras. The suspects were arrested and brought to justice.
According to La hora digital, in the first case, the drugs were hidden in the rear wing, the double floors, the trunk and inside the entire floor of the vehicle.
This is a significant amount of drugs, over 225 kilos of hashish resin, valued at nearly 375,000 euros. The author of this traffic, a Moroccan citizen born in 1977 who held a work and residence permit in Spain, was arrested, the same source specifies.
During a second check, the command of the Civil Guard of Ceuta also detected drugs hidden inside the two rear wheels of a Mercedes registered in France.
Here, 42 and a half kilos of hashish resin were discovered. The driver, a French national born in 1950, was also arrested.
The two alleged perpetrators of the crime against public health, arrested as part of these drug trafficking operations, were made available to the Investigating Court of the autonomous city.
