Moroccan Blood Donations Surge During Ramadan, Exceeding National Targets

During Ramadan 2019, the National Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center (CNTSH) recorded an exceeding of its blood donation targets, showing that Moroccans can be very generous.
60.8%, or 13,980 blood bags collected, out of 25,841 expected. The assessment made by the National Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center (CNTSH) is so far satisfactory, but there are still a few days left during which donors can go to mosques or centers to donate blood.
Among the Moroccan cities that stand out, we note the very good performance of the inhabitants of Al Hoceima, with an exceeding of the initial objective of 148.2% and also Béni Mellal which stands out with 122%, Tétouan, for 105.25%, 54.6% for Agadir, 54.9% for Rabat, 86.1% for Tangier, and 51.5% for Meknes.
However, some cities are darkening this picture, with rather poor results, according to the CNTSH: 39% for Casablanca, 40.9% for Fez, 25% for Marrakech and, worse, 0% for Dakhla!
