Moroccan-Belgian Woman Sues Parents for Abuse, Forced Marriage Attempt

A Moroccan woman is filing a complaint in the Mons correctional court against her parents, for attempted forced marriage, rape, austere education, blows with a broom handle... The public prosecutor is seeking 18 months against the father, and 3 years against the mother; judgment in a month.
The couple lives in Hensies with their two daughters, born in 1994 and 1997, who attended the UMons interpreting school (English-Arabic), reports La Capitale. Both blame their parents for having a rather primitive conception of the education of girls.
According to the same source, the mother is accused of raping one of her daughters, when she decides to make sure of her virginity, after having searched her phone that she tore from her.
That’s not all: attempted forced marriage with a certain Mohamed, a distant cousin who remained in the country, in whom the parents found the qualities of a good husband for their daughter. And for this, the parents suddenly decided to leave for a month to Morocco, while one of the daughters had a second session. The same one who, with photos taken on her cell phone, accuses her mother of blows with a broom handle, reports the same newspaper.
Traits of a rather rigid education. At 24, the eldest (who filed the complaint and is a civil party) does not have the key to the house; is required to wait for her father to come pick her up at the end of classes; to undergo searches of her phone by the mother who takes the right to do so up to confiscation; the management of her Erasmus scholarship that escapes her... As for the younger one, she complains about the parents’ refusal to let her go on an Erasmus trip to Lebanon.
Abuse of authority? Violation of the rights of adult children? The public prosecutor, who has placed the investigation carried out by the federal prosecutor’s office under embargo, is seeking 18 months against the father, and 3 years against the mother. Judgment in a month, the newspaper announces.
