The television channel 2M is launching the Moroccan version of the famous reality TV show "Le Meilleur Pâtissier" starting this Tuesday, January 26th. A total of 10 amateur pastry chefs will compete around the great classics of world pastry and traditional sweet specialties.
Every Tuesday at 9:40 pm and for 8 weeks, the apprentice pastry chefs will use creativity and strategy to win the "Best Pastry Chef" Prize, but above all, have the chance to publish a recipe book. The principle is simple and consists for the candidates to overcome, in each episode, a series of challenges.
There is the signature challenge which consists of reproducing a classic recipe according to a predefined theme, the much more difficult technical challenge, as the candidates will have to find the right proportions to succeed the chefs’ recipes. Finally, there is the creative challenge through which the talent of each participant will allow them to stand out.
To judge the candidates, a jury has been selected and is composed of Othmane Belefkih, a young professional pastry chef who collaborates with internationally renowned brands, and Bouchra Tamimi, a pastry chef specialized in cake design. They will be accompanied at each show by distinguished guests who will give their assessment of the creative challenge.
