Moroccan Authorities Seize 2 Tons of Cannabis Near Assilah in Major Drug Bust

The national security services, in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie Brigade with territorial jurisdiction, proceeded on Tuesday, September 17, to seize nearly two tons of cannabis resin in a barn near Assilah.
In detail, it is the seizure of 68 large bales of cannabis resin, with a total weight of two tons, specifies the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The same source indicates that a judicial investigation has been opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to identify all the persons involved in the criminal network related to this case and its possible ramifications at the national and international levels.
This seizure is part of the efforts made by the security services to fight drug and psychotropic trafficking.
