Moroccan Authorities Raid Illegal Nightclub in Témara, Arrest 22
The Témara gendarmerie elements carried out, on Saturday night to Sunday, the arrest of about twenty individuals who were consuming shisha and alcoholic beverages in a villa transformed into a nightclub.
The gendarmes carried out a raid on the premises after being alerted by residents of the area that a villa had been transformed into a nightclub and a shisha space and was receiving people on weekends. In total, 22 individuals as well as six girls were caught in the act and taken to the gendarmerie station, reports the daily Assabah. Likewise, 32 hookahs were seized.
The main accused, the man who was running the clandestine nightclub, was brought before the public prosecutor at the court of first instance in Témara on Monday and was prosecuted while in custody. As for the other defendants, they were released on bail, pending their trial.

The owner of the villa, residing abroad, had rented it to the main accused who had transformed it into a nightclub and a shisha space. He was receiving "customers" late at night, after the legal closing hours of bars and restaurants.
