Luxury Villa Raid in Marrakech Uncovers Illegal Nightclub and Prostitution Ring

The royal gendarmerie carried out a raid in a luxurious villa located in Marrakech which had been transformed into a clandestine nightclub. Fourteen people, including six young women, were arrested. In addition to the drinks and other substances found there, the gendarmes discovered rooms set up and used as a place of debauchery.
The operation was carried out by the brigade of the royal gendarmerie of Tahnaout, in coordination with the gendarmes of Sidi Abdellah Ghiate. According to the daily Assabah, the raid made on Sunday evening, made it possible to arrest fourteen clients, including six girls and married men. The wives of the latter were summoned by the Royal Gendarmerie as part of the investigation opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
The manager of the clandestine nightclub was also arrested and questioned. The owner of the villa fled and remains untraceable. In addition to the fourteen people arrested, the gendarmes seized a large quantity of alcoholic beverages, hookahs and drugs.
After the custody period, which was extended by forty-eight hours, the arrested persons were brought before the prosecutor of the King near the court of first instance of Marrakech on Wednesday. Their trial is about to begin.
