Moroccan Authorities Incinerate 12 Tons of Seized Drugs in Al Hoceima

The Boukidaren wholesale market was used as the site for the destruction of about 12 tons of drugs. These are mainly seizures made in recent months during several operations in Al Hoceima.
This destruction operation was carried out under the supervision of a joint commission, chaired by the Deputy Prosecutor of the King near the Court of First Instance of Al Hoceima and composed of representatives of Customs, the National Security, the Royal Gendarmerie, the local authority, Civil Protection and the Ministry of Health. This involves more than 9,449.14 kg of chira, 1,351.69 kg of kif, 1,123.54 kg of unmanufactured tobacco, 3.25 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of heroin and 210 psychotropic tablets, reports the MAP.
About 12 tons of prohibited products worth over 97 million dirhams. An achievement in the fight against drug trafficking from July to November, by the public security forces, namely Customs, the National Security, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Royal Navy and the auxiliary forces, operating at the level of the province of Al Hoceima, specifies the same source.
