Moroccan Authorities Bust Treasure Hunting Ring Near Marrakech

The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of the city of Tameslouht, located eighteen kilometers from the city of Marrakech, on the road to Amizmiz, managed to dismantle a network of treasure hunters composed of four people including a fkih.
It was during a patrol in the Tameslouht region, in the province of Al Haouz, that the agents surprised the suspects, gathered in a place near the wadi that runs through the Didek douar. Four in number, they were digging the ground with a hoe, a pickaxe and a shovel.
Arrested in possession of several manuscripts and treasure maps, the accused admitted that they were looking for a treasure.
From question to question, they made other confessions. They are not at their first attempt, they said, specifying that they have already discovered gold coins and other valuable objects.
The fkih is the head of operations. Each time, he leads the operation masterfully, they told the gendarmerie agents.
The four accused will be brought before the courts.
