Moroccan Athletes Defect to European Teams for Doha World Championships

From September 27 to October 6, 2019, several Moroccan athletes who have turned their backs on the Kingdom will represent Europe at the Doha World Championships. This exodus of athletes is becoming more and more widespread, but it is curiously leaving the authorities concerned indifferent.
Morocco is losing its brilliant sons, its born competitors in the field of athletics. Now naturalized, they will wear the colors of certain European countries at the upcoming Doha World Championships, from September 27 to October 6, 2019. According to Al Massae, this exodus of Moroccan athletes continues and has even intensified in recent years.
This opportunity, they owe it to these European nations that have granted them their nationality in order to have them participate in the upcoming World Championships and the Tokyo Olympics.
Among these athletes, we can count Yassine Rachik and Saïd El Othmani who will respectively wear the colors of Italy for the marathon and the 5000 meters. The case of Yassine Rachik is presented by the same source as symptomatic of the ills of Moroccan athletics.
Indeed, the same media reports that this Casaoui obtained Italian nationality a few years ago, when the Italian Federation detected the potential of the runner.
In Spain, Ibrahim Ezzaydouny, after having long demanded nationality, will finally wear the Spanish colors in the 3000 meters at these Doha World Championships.
France, for its part, will be represented by a Moroccan naturalized in its ranks, Rabii Doukkana. The athlete, who has long known setbacks in Morocco, will carry the hopes of France, which has trusted him for these upcoming World Championships and for the Olympics, adds the same media.
