Moroccan Artists Dominate North African Categories at AFRIMA 2021 Awards

The 2021 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA 2021), held in Nigeria, allowed Moroccan artists to assert themselves once again on the continent, by winning three awards.
They are the artists Manal Benchlikha, Dizzy Dross and ElGrandeTOTO who won the title in their category.
Thus, the singer Manal Benchlikha won the award for "Best Female Vocalist in North Africa".
As for the rapper, songwriter and producer Moroccan, Omar Souhaili, alias Dizzy DROS, he won the award for best male artist in North Africa.
AFRIMA 2021 also awarded the prize for most promising artist to the Moroccan rapper Taha Fahssi, alias ElGrandeToto, considered the most listened to Moroccan artist on Spotify.
It should be recalled that eleven Moroccan artists were nominated for the AFRIMA Awards 2021. These candidates, including Abir, Jaylane, Nada and Salma Rachid, entered the race for the "Best Female Artist in North Africa" award.
On the male side, several Moroccan artists were in the running to win the "Best Male Artist in North Africa" award.
