Mohamed Ihattaren's Dramatic Transformation: Former Prodigy Seeks Comeback at Slavia Prague

Midfielder Mohamed Ihattaren is currently at a crucial turning point in his career. After a period marked by personal and professional difficulties, the young player of Moroccan origin is working hard to make a comeback at the Czech club Slavia Prague.

The Slavia Prague coach, Jindrich Trpisovsky, reports a positive evolution in the player. Indeed, Ihattaren has undergone a physical transformation in less than a month, losing weight and gaining muscle mass, thanks to a training program in Dubai, supervised by the personal coach Nicolas St. Maurice.

Ihattaren’s career, marked by stints at Juventus and Ajax, has been tumultuous. In Italy, his adventure ended in failure, and he also failed to establish himself in Amsterdam. Moreover, he had to face personal problems such as an arrest for an alleged assault on his girlfriend, who has since become his wife, the burning of his Porsche, and the forced sale of his house in Utrecht due to a debt issue.

In August 2022, Mohammed Ihattaren seemed ready to sign with the Turkish club Samsunspor, but this attempt was short-lived due to differences over the contract terms. The president of Samsunspor then described Ihattaren as a "problematic player". His arrival at Slavia Prague marks a promising new start.

Although the date of his official debut with Slavia Prague has not yet been set, the club, currently second in its league, has planned several friendly matches this month and will resume competition on February 11. As a sign of hope for renewal, Ihattaren has signed a performance contract valid until the end of the season, with an option to extend for three years.
