Juventus Cuts Ties with Dutch Prodigy Ihattaren After Failed Stint

Juventus has terminated the contract linking it to Dutch player of Moroccan origin Mohamed Ihattaren who failed to break through in Italy, thus putting an end to his misadventure.
"The consensual termination of the contract that linked Mohamed Ihattaren to Juventus is official. Good luck, Mohamed," the Italian club announced on Twitter on July 28. Arrived at Juventus in the summer of 2021, who then loaned him to Sampdoria and then to Ajax Amsterdam in 2022, the once acclaimed prodigy talent has not been able to meet expectations. Between attitude problems, threats after the officialization of his relationship with Yasmine Driouech, his alleged ties to the Mocro Maffia, the Moroccan mafia active in the Netherlands and Belgium, legal troubles, the death of his father, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has missed his - yet promising - adventure in Italy. Ihattaren did not play a single second for Juventus’ first team. He would have earned 1.3 million per year for four seasons with the Old Lady. A huge failure.
The termination of this contract is likely to sound the definitive end of the footballer’s career. No club is showing interest in him. Spotted recently at COV DESTO in Vleuten, where he is "kicking a ball" with former international Gerald Vanenburg he knew from Ajax, nothing is currently shaping up. "But I’m not training him now, we’re just having a little fun, kicking a ball, I’m not helping him or anything," Vanenburg said, noting that it was not training. "It’s just a football game. Sometimes he comes, sometimes he doesn’t come for a while," he added. Will we ever see the Moroccan midfielder in football again? "The most important thing is that he gets back to work. He’ll really have to do it himself," the Dutch coach replied.
