US Military Prepares for Expanded ’African Lion’ Exercise in Morocco

The US military has indicated that the 2022 edition of "African Lion" to be held in Morocco will be "better and bigger than the previous one". Planning and coordination operations have started for this purpose.
According to Major James Guglielmi, responsible within the Europe and Africa Directorate of the US Army, the eighteenth edition of the African Lion military exercise "will be the best exercise to date".
The official specified that the next combined exercise will have a much broader scope than that of 2021 which saw the participation of 7,000 military personnel from different countries and a very large number of land, air and naval equipment.
And to add, that this 2022 edition will include US Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps forces, as well as troops from 20 different nations.
