Melilla Demands Equal Treatment in Cross-Border Trade with Morocco

The Secretary General of the Popular Party (PP) of Melilla, Miguel Marín, insisted on Monday on the necessary "reciprocity" in the goods traffic through the land borders of Ceuta and Melilla with Morocco.
Since the reopening of the borders, the Moroccan police do not allow the introduction of any product purchased in Melilla, even for personal use, into the kingdom, while the authorities of the autonomous city allow the entry of products coming from Morocco, recalls Europa Press.

This lack of reciprocity "is not acceptable", according to Miguel Marin, Secretary General of the Popular Party (PP) of Melilla. "The rules of our country must be respected and I insist that trade between Spain and Morocco must be reciprocal and in the same proportion, from Melilla to Morocco and from Morocco to Melilla," explained the PP leader.
