Massive Waves up to 20 Feet to Batter Moroccan Coast, Weather Service Warns

Waves that can reach 3 to 6 meters in height are expected during this day and tomorrow between Cap Malabata (Mediterranean and Safi), warns the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) in a special bulletin.
These dangerous westerly waves, 3 to 5.5 meters high, will hit the region between Cap Malabata and Cap Spartel (Tangier), placed on red alert, from Thursday, December 19 at 2 pm to Friday, December 20 at 6 pm at least.
Other dangerous waves, 4 to 6 meters high, will hit the region between Cap Spartel and Safi, from Thursday at 8 pm to Friday at 6 pm.
West winds of 8 Beaufort with gusts of 10 Beaufort will also be recorded between Cap Malabata and Larache between Thursday at 11 pm and Friday at 6 pm at least, indicates the Directorate, which places this region on orange alert.
