Giant Waves up to 6 Meters to Hit Morocco’s Atlantic Coast, Warns Weather Agency

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announces dangerous waves that can reach 4 to 6 meters from Friday on the Atlantic coasts between Assilah and Tarfaya.
After the heavy snowfall that hit several regions of Morocco, it is the turn of the giant North-West waves, reaching significant heights and periods ranging from 14 to 17 seconds, according to a DGM press release. They should hit the Atlantic coasts between Assilah and Tarfaya on Friday.
According to the same source, an improvement is expected as of Monday, December 7th. In the areas threatened by these giant waves, high tides should oscillate between 2 and 3.5 meters, between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m., and between 5 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., concludes the same press release.
