Massive 20-Foot Waves to Batter Morocco’s Atlantic Coast, Warns Meteorology Agency

Waves up to 4 to 6 meters high and periods of 14 to 19 seconds will hit the Atlantic coasts between Larache and Tantan on Monday, according to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN).
The bad weather continues in Morocco. After floods that have caused several deaths, the DMN forecasts strong southwest winds of 8 to 9 Beaufort with gusts of 10 to 11 Beaufort in the Strait and on the Atlantic coasts between Cap Spartel and Cap Ghir. However, an improvement is expected on Wednesday.
According to the same source, high tides in the areas threatened by the dangerous waves will oscillate on Monday and Tuesday between 2.60m and 3.70m. They are expected between 4:05 am and 5:45 am and between 4:45 pm and 6:25 pm.
