A "mini tsunami" struck the coastal strip between Rabat and Salé this Friday. It caused significant damage to the coastal road connecting the two cities.
A few hours after the passage of this "mini tsunami", several stones drained by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean were strewn on the coastal road. Witnesses said the waves of the Atlantic Ocean were violent and often exceeded 6 meters in height. The neighborhoods of L’Océan in Rabat and Sidi Moussa are the most impacted by this unprecedented phenomenon.
Alerted, the security services have proposed detours for car traffic in order to avoid any incident and to allow the crossing of the coastal strip.
