Massive 20-Foot Waves to Batter Morocco’s Atlantic Coast, Officials Warn

The Atlantic coasts between Assilah and Tarfaya will be hit by huge northwest waves.
According to the Ministry of Equipment and Water, these waves, whose height could reach between 4 and 6 meters, are expected in the morning of Sunday, November 5.
High tides will vary between 2.2 m and 3.11 m, particularly between 7:36 a.m. and 8:46 a.m. in the morning, then between 8:46 p.m. and 9:46 p.m. in the evening.
The sea state is given in total significant height, which corresponds to the average of the third highest waves. The maximum height of individual waves can be up to twice the significant height, it is recalled.
An improvement is expected from the afternoon of Monday, November 6.
